The PCN works in partnership with University Hospitals Dorset, Circle health Group and Pure Physiotherapy to deliver an alternative to a GP consultation for patients presenting with musculo-skeletal conditions.
Appointments are offer with qualified First Contact Physiotherapists able to assess, diagnose, offer treatment plan or onward refer as appropriate.

All soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries | Acutely unwell |
Arthritis – any joint | Children under 16 |
Possible problems with muscles, ligaments, tendon or bone, e.g. tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains | Medical management of rheumatoid conditions |
Spinal pain including lower back pain, mid-back pain and neck pain | Women’s health, antenatal and postnatal problems |
Spinal-related pain in arms or legs, including nerve symptoms, e.g. pins and needles or numbness | House-bound patients |
Post-orthopaedic surgery (can differ between localities) | Medication reviews for non-MSK conditions |
Neurological and respiratory conditions/ Headaches | |

Patients who do not want to see a FCP |

- The Adam Practice – Lifeboat Quay and Hamworthy sites
- Harbour Hospital
- Evergreen Oak, Poole Town the Newman Practice
- Rosemary Medical Centre
Appointments are booked through your GP Practice and may be at one of the sites listed to ensure the shortest wait times.
